Zypher's classpecting BS

WORK IN PROGRESS. MIGHT NEVER BE FINISHED.

aka, a stupid document where I go into excruciating detail about classpecting and other bullshit nobody else cares about.

Special props to the classpecters and theorists who inspired me; Dahni, optimisticDuelist, DewDrop, Funk Mclovin, Ourobarista, and that one Lord of Rage from tumblr. Not necessarily in that order. But thanks for the ideas. I will use them supremely unwisely ;P

Welcome one and welcome all to my classpecting doc. First you are going to learn about ASPECTS, then CLASSES, as is traditional order. Then I am going to smash some togther and describe what kind of bullshit would come together. I am going to try very hard to be unbiased and impersonal but some of my opinions might be present still. Sorry.

ASPECTS

To lay down some ground rules, we'll sort of be using dualism, but not really. It's a useful tool for which aspects speak similar languages and for organization but otherwise it is only useful to a short extent. At the end of the Aspects section we'll explore different relationships between aspects and their similarities and differences.

These aspects will be seperated into a "What" and a "Who" section. "What" will define the contents of the aspect; the thing that people "bound" to the aspect tend to gravitate towards. Classes get this too, but the "What" describes specific behaviors and the who gives an outline of some common behaviors.

Space

WIP

TL;DR: Appreciation of the arts, originality,

WHAT: Space is the aspect of creation; not that it's unwilling to destroy, but that it's primary focus is "making things" and "keeping the peace". It's not necessarily just inaction, but taking a look and breathing it all in for inspiration before your Next Big Thing. It's the stuff all around you, hard to pin down in that regard.

WHO: Spacebounds are patient, but know when to pick their battles. Not that they're unwilling to fight, a lot of them just don't see the point; conflict is to be avoided entirely, stemming from a desire for creative utopia. Their aspect that they're bound to makes them "friendly" on a surface level, trying to slip through friction. They like ideas, and the concept of ideas, and the concept of concepts. If this sounds vague, it's because it is. They're thinkers at their core, but that doesn't make them pushovers.

Time

WIP

TL;DR: Inevitability (spicy), destriction, repitition,

WHAT: Time is like the "hot" to space's "cold"; destruction and action that pushes forwards.

WHO: These people either actively seek or create the kind of friction a lot of spacebounds abhor. They fight even when they don't have to. They're not entirely aggressive, but are disposed to it on some level. They're (mostly) doers; not necessarily that they get things done but that they're always doing something, even if it doesn't look like much (flavor of doing depends on class).

Breath

WIP

TL;DR: doing your own thing, independence, flow, breeze

WHAT: Breath is about doing your own thing, no matter who's looking. Doesn't matter if it's your aunt deborah, or your boss, or your partner, you're doing it anyways because you want to and you don't need anyone elses' permission. It's about independence, the flow, the breeze that carries you from one thing to the next. Whatever happens happens.

WHO:

Blood

WIP

TL;DR: Connection, meaning, restraint, relationships,

WHAT: Blood is a connection, deep and strong, tethering you to... whatever and whoever you choose to bond with. It could be the literal blood of your family members, it could be something that ties you down as a person, grounded realism that isn't necessarily pessimism. It can look like martyrdom on the surface, but it's not just that; it's bonds. Meaning.

WHO: The bloodbound care, and a lot of them want to be the rock in people's lives.

Hope

WIP

TL;DR: Possibilities, daydreaming, manifesting, faith,

WHAT:Hope is what you need if you're going to actually build something better for the world.

WHO:

Rage

WIP

TL;DR: Personal truth, singlemindedness,

WHAT: Rage is a bunch of nasty, negative emotions. Not that it's a bad thing, of course; it's what's needed to prune out all the bullshit that just doesn't need to be done or said. Doubt, if you want a nice and neat nutshell, but that's not all it is. You need rage if you want to actually point out what's wrong with everything; if nobody had any, then we would all be content with something that's just hurting literally everyone in the long run, and nobody would see anything wrong with it, and if they did, they wouldn't do anything about it.

WHO: Stubborn people who won't listen to whatever you tell them until you procure enough proof. Proof varies per individual; Some might demand you show them something solid, others might demand a research paper, and others still might request it fit into some other worldview that they uphold as absolute truth.

Life

WIP

TL;DR: Desire. Duplication. Healing. Stability.

WHAT: Life is the aspect of Desire, as commonly understood by most classpecters. It's the idea of a stable society, where everyone helps everyone in need, and where everyone has the wealth to get by.

WHO: Lifebounds tend to prioritize helping others, but only in their idea of help. Despite their ideas, a lot of them tend to gravitate towards being in a position of power, for better or for worse. They don't WANT fake smiles but tend towards them. This idea of help tends to be flavored by class, and thus the lifebound can be either harder or easier to spot, depending on your flavor of classpecting.

Doom

WIP

TL;DR: Endings, rules, inevitability (tragic flavor),

WHAT:

WHO:

Light

WIP

TL;DR: Relevance, Knowledge (put other things here)

WHAT:

WHO:

Void

WIP

TL;DR: Secrets, Contentedness with unknowing, the idea of nothing

WHAT:

WHO:

Heart

WIP

TL;DR: Selfhood, identity, inward focus

WHAT:

WHO:

Mind

WIP

TL;DR: Thoughts, actions, outward focus

WHAT:

CLASSES

A word on activity (-) and passivity (+)

This document classifies activity (+) as self-focus and passivity (-) as other-focused, but before anyone makes any assumptions, self-focus isn't necessarily selfishness, and other-focus isn't necessarily selflessness. Just some food for thought. Active (-) comes first, Passive (-) comes second. The classes come in pairs.

A word on ""gendered"" classes

Classes, as in the patterns and behaviors that make up your class and different ways one acts around your aspect, are not gendered. They have nothing to do with "chromosomes" either, but your class CAN be impacted from your personal relationship with gender and how you were raised. Everything needs context, and context usually hurts and sucks and is sad. Sorry.

WITCH

WIP

TL;DR: Stop trying to be cute and face your problems dammit

WHAT:

WHO: Witches are most easily identified by the "cute schtick". If you can't identify a Witch because said Witch isn't acting cute, ask yourself this: how much is this person drawn to their chosen subject? How much do they want to break the rules of said subject? Playful people. A little too playful, if you're asking me, but I'm sure that deep down they're taking all this seriously. Maybe. I hope so. (WIP im not good with witches)

HEIR

WIP

TL;DR: Everyone's big brother who needs to stop doing that

WHAT:

WHO:

PAGE

WIP

TL;DR: Little dorks that need to stop underestimating themselves

WHAT:

WHO: Look out for the people who can't shut up about a single damn thing, who constantly sell themselves short because they have this IDEA that they need to be this very specific thing that they've latched onto since forever, and fall on their face trying to get it. They're all dorks, but if they treated themselves better they could be so much better than "person who keeps failing" even if a lot of them don't see that. (WIP still need to talk to more pages)

KNIGHT

WIP

TL;DR: Please stop doing things for others at your own expense

WHAT:

WHO:

MAGE

The controversial section

Hi. Do YOU not see yourself here? Are you wondering "hey, where's master classes?", or "hey, why only 12 different patterns of people?"? Welcome to the controversial section. This covers ""master classes"" and 2 other classes blatantly stolen from the brain of Dewdrop (if you're seeing this, hi!).

LORD

WIP

TL;DR: You're not 'the best', and you don't need to be.

WHAT:

WHO:

MUSE

WIP

TL;DR: You're not 'the worst', and you don't have to be.

WHAT:

WHO:

PRIEST

WIP

TL;DR: Can't be summed up that easy

WHAT:

WHO:

SCRIBE

WIP

TL;DR: The world doesn't revolve around you.

WHAT:

WHO: Just as high-octane as Lords, but far more sensitive. They plaster everything they believe in onto their personality, at the very least to try and keep themselves stable.

EXAMPLES AND MUSINGS

See, my idea was originally that different aspects have different ways of thinking, likeso:

HEART: o->

   /->
MIND: o-------------->
       \___>

If that's not clicking in your head, it's the idea that the heartbound see potential in the SELF on its own, while the mindbound see the potential of the CHOICES the self makes. It's not that heartbounds are static, they just... are more concerned with the idea of "self" when it comes to potential and not "others". Similarly, just because a Mindbound is focused on the "other" or "outside" doesn't mean they're good at predicting others automatically, either.
